The Family Stone

“The Family Stone “written and directed by Thomas Bezucha is simply superb. The characters present in the film are unbelievable and the script was too good. The film stars Claire Danes, Oscar winner Diane Keaton, Rachel McAdams, Craig T.Nelson, Sarah Jessica Parker, Luke Wilson, Brian J.White and Dermot Mulroney. The movie is nothing but a mixed bad, yes it is about a woman who meets the family of her fiancée for Christmas. Sarah Jessica Parker who plays the lead role meets Dermot Mulroney for the Christmas Eve in order to mingle with the family and understand about her in mates to make her boy friend happy. Everybody is so mean to the poor Meredith(Sarah Jessica Parker) in the film. What ever she tries to do it finally back fires her. There is lots of heart touching scene in the film and the plot is but tedious to understand. Meredith tries to call her sister to help her understanding the family but for her surprise her fiancée falls for her sister. The romance between Meredith and Luke Wilson (Dermot Mulroney’s brother is well portrayed).To be honest if you want to see a family drama with some heart touching scene then try this film. I would give 3 out of 5 stars for this family entertainment.

P.S. I Love You

“P.S. I Love You” is something very close to my heart. It stars Oscar winner Hilary Swank and cool hunk, Gerard Butler who played a remarkable role in 300.You might have heard lot about the movie and even negative comments but I feel whimsical and surprisingly touching romantic comedy of the year 2007.The main theme of the film is about a man who wants to make his wife happy and understand the importance of life. Gerard butler dies due to tumor and writes Hilary a series of letters that will guide her through her grief. Supporting role played by two friends of Hilary has worked out well but the entry of Harry was not good. The flashback scene between Gerard and Hilary was mind numbing and their relationship made the viewer realize that true love always wins. I would blindly say that if you want to see a romantic comedy with some spice in it please watch this film.

Most of us do not give much importance to so called “entertainment factor” cinema. To be more specific I was talking about movies. Some people like to watch movies at regular basis, say for example if a person makes most of his free time watching movies then we can call him as a movie buff.
